Recipient not acceptable to SMTP server
Resolution:
Customer is using wrong e-mail address for the recipient or an address book entry that is not correct. Check the address they are trying to send to. May also have to delete the address book file (see a Lead Tech before doing this!) Also could be that there are several queued messages waiting to be sent. Go to the outbox or sent box and see which messages (if any) are queued. These will have to be deleted.
Can't find POP or SMTP server.
Resolution:
Make sure the customer is connecting before trying to send or receive e-mail. Check all e-mail settings. Check the outbox for queued message these may have to be deleted.
When receiving mail, the program hangs on a particular e-mail (ex: 3 of 10).
Resolution:
Log in to telnet with the customers username and password and use Pine or G-mail to make sure the e-mail isn't too large (over 10MB). See a Lead Tech as the e-mail may need to be deleted.
